From there take the train to JR Takeno Station. At Takeno Beach you can swim in the warm and blue waters of the Sea of Japan from June to August. Spend a day snorkeling, trying SUP, or just relaxing on the sandy beaches with a good book. Travel down to Izushi, about 40 min by car for the morning and then up to Kinosaki Onsen. Kinosaki Onsen is a popular hot spring town renowned for its 7 bath houses and natural hot springs. A great atmosphere to be experienced during the day or night when you can see people dressed in yukata strolling through the streets. About 120 minutes to the east by car is Amanohashidate, a land bridge that is also nicknamed \u201cthe bridge to heaven\u201d and is known as one of the three most beautiful views in Japan. Then about 61 minutes to the west by car are the sand dunes of Tottori.
