GREEN SEASON
Hike through a portion of the designated UNESCO global geopark that runs along the sea board and to the mountians. Trails run from beginner to advance with smooth to rough terrain. Some trails can be enjoyed and navigated on your own, while other more traverse trails are best with a guide.
Trails can be enjoyed from late April, after the winter snows have melted, until mid November, just before the first average snow fall.
Two of the most popular hikes can be done on your own. The first is a hike up to the crater of the volcanoe and the other is along the old lava flow.
PARAGLIDING
There are a few paragliding schools in Kannabe where you can take half or full day lessons. Some schools also offer two day courses. You will receive full safety instructions by professional paragliders. For those wishing to fly a little higher (about 530m – 720m), tandem flights are also available. Courses are available from March to November.
Sturdy shoes are needed along with clothes that can get dirty and will cover your arms and legs for safety. Do not wear sandals, slip-ons, or shorts. In the colder months it is a good idea to wear a light jacket or wind breaker.

OUTDOOR COOKING
A special lunch based on special ingredients and recipes.
Kannabe Nature School organizes many camping programs, and among them, there is cooking outdoors. We prepare dishes and lunches based on available ingredients and recipes. We use such cookware as a Dutch oven. We put whole vegetables and ingredients into the pot and then place charcoal on the lid cooking everything from top to bottom. There is also a homemade smoker that we sometimes use that is made from an old drum can.
All ingredients, cooking utensils, and venue usage free are all included in the participation fee, so all you have to do is make reservations and come empty handed. Come and enjoy a great lunch and chat with experienced staff.
RECREATIONAL TREE CLIMBING

An activity that can be enjoyed from about 6 years and up, depending on physical ability of the child. To climb the tree you will use your legs more than your arms to pull yourself up the rope. The most noticible difference between grass and plastic skiing is the equipment. Unlike grass skiing, the exact same equipment you would useduring the winter on snowy slope can be used with plastic skiing.
This is one of the ways the pros keep in shape and train during the snow-less months.

Forest Adventure originated in France as a type of “outdoor parks in harmony with nature.” The treetops course was first created for corporate training but with growing popularity it opened to the general public and was eventually exported abroad.

Aside from an introductory safety lesson at the beginning of your course, you will not be accompanied by an instructor. You will be given the freedom to explore the cours but also the responsibility to maintain your safety. This is one of the activities appeals. “Adults can have fun like kids, and kids can feel responsible like adults.”
Courses include various types of bridge crossings like hanging logs, zip lines, cargo nets, balance beams and more.
